Auburn Veterans Day Parade 2021

The 2017 Auburn Veterans Day Parade and Community Ceremony and Luncheon.Honoring all Veterans of the United States November 11, 2021

 


An Auburn community event since 1919.   

This year we will be honoring Post 911 Veterans and we are please to announce that this year’s Grand Marshall is Dusty Byers

The Parade  will begin at 10:45am at the corner of Lincoln Way and Cleveland Street and will proceed down Lincoln Way.  The parade will pause at the Central Square at 11:00am. There will be a brief patriotic ceremony  with the release of doves, followed by a fly-over (weather permitting), a three volley rifle salute followed by TAPS.  The parade will resume onto High Street and end at the  Gold Country Fairgrounds.

The first 500 veterans will be awarded a commemorative medal (you must be present to collect your medal) honoring all veterans who have defended our country every day since the Battles of Lexington and Concord in 1775.  American flags and programs,  listing the units in the parade will be distributed to spectators along the parade route.

There will be rides provided to veterans who wish to be in the parade but cannot walk that distance.  For more information contact: Parade Director Roberta McGuinn,

The Complementary Luncheon  (hot dogs, chips, cookies, soft drinks) will be served at the end of the parade route at the Maurine Dobbas Placer Hall.  All participants and spectators are invited to attend.

The “Proud To Be An American”celebration and ceremony will be held following the luncheon.  There will be music, singing and exhibitions.

When:

Where:
